Duc Nguyen Co-chairs the 54th John H. Barrett Memorial Lectures

Duc Nguyen served as a co-chair of the organizing committee for the 54th John H. Barrett Memorial Lectures, hosted by the Department of Mathematics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

The 2026 lectures, held May 18-20, 2026, focused on Mathematical Foundations for Computational and Data-Driven Scientific Discovery.

The organizing committee included Xiaobing Feng, Vasileios Maroulas, Duc Nguyen (co-chair), and Ioannis Sgouralis (co-chair).

The 54th Barrett Lectures were partially supported by NSF, UT Knoxville’s Office of Research, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Mathematics Department, and the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications at the University of Minnesota.
